About Secure Servers

A secure server will allow you to take confidential information through your website. For example; Credit/Debit Card details. Information is transmitted using an 128bit encrypted connection. The actual information is also encrypted for a double strength security.

Security certificates require renewal yearly on the anniversary date. This is done automatically, unless you tell us not too. This means you do not have to worry about your site becoming insecure when taking your customer's card details.

Other Aspects to Consider

Everyone is becoming more aware of the issue of internet safety particularly where online purchasing is concerned and general website form submissions (login details etc). In view of this, and whilst it is not mandatory, we do advise customers to consider installing a secure certificate regardless if payment is being taken in their site or not.

At worst there's a small addtional fee to cover it, at best, it shows your website customers that you care about their information and have taken responsibility in using the available technology to protect it as much as possible.
